La Chant du Verdier
The Chant du Verdier estate is composed of a manor house dating from 1881, built in the typical Quercy stone, along with various other buildings in natural stone. The three adjoining buildings to the manor house date from the 16th century and have recently been completely restored, taking care to preserve their authenticity, and transformed into two luxurious gîtes and two luxurious chambres d'hôtes.
The property is surrounded by a carefully tended garden in which lavender, olive trees, rosemary, lilac, fig and fruit trees, rose and butterfly bushes give off all the colours under the sun. There is an enclosed private swimming pool in the garden with sun terrace and deck chairs. A large children's playing area lies behind the swimming pool with playground equipment and toys. There is also a small farm in the wood with chickens, rabbits and goats.
The scenery around the estate is absolutely breathtaking whatever the season However, throughout the year every evening you'll hear the owls as you gaze up, overwhelmed by the wonderful night sky. It is hardly surprising that the region in which Le Chant de Verdier lies is also known as the Triangle Noir (the Black Triangle). With a total absence of any light pollution, there is the joy of gazing up at the most beautiful star-lit skies.
