Setting the navigation system

Worth knowing: if you have a navigation system and intend to compute your route, be sure to key in the correct name of the village in combination with Le Verdier (thus: Cajarc-Le Verdier). Don't make the mistake of keying only Le Verdier in, because if you do, you will arrive at a place near to Gaillac, 66 kilometres to the south of Cajarc. Should your system not recognise the addition of our hamlet, don't worry. Simply use Cajarc as final destination; it is but three kilometres from where we are. Finish your journey following these directions:
From Cajarc to Le Chant du Verdier
- On the main square in Cajarc follow signs for Figeac (D19)
- Once out of the village you drive up into the mountains (Le Causse)
- Passing the "Déchetterie" (household tip) on your right take the first turning to the left. You will see a small sign, "Le Verdier" about 25 cm high along the road.
- Continue driving until you reach Le Verdier.
- Drive on until you reach an iron gateway on the right at the car park
Leaving from Holland
- Motorway Breda - Antwerp - Gent - Lille - Paris
- Motorway Paris - Limoges - Toulouse (A20)
- Exit at junction 56 (Gourdon)
- Turn right at the bottom towards Figeac (D802)
- After about 13 km continue to take the D14 towards Espedaillac
- At Espedaillac take the D40 towards Marsilhac sur Célé
- You will come to a T junction - turn right and take the D653 and then first left in the direction of Cazals/Marcilhac sur Célé and Cajarc (D14)
- Drive through Marcilhac and then turn left, cross the bridge in the direction of Cajarc D17
- Just about 7 km before Cajarc at an intersection bear to the left in the direction of Gréalou D82 (there’s a memorial and a cross at the spot)
- First street on your right is Chemin des Vignes. Turn right at the intersection and the property of Le Chant du Verdier begins immediately on your left. You can drive on until you come to the third iron gateway at the car park.
Useful to know: If you've missed the first street on the right, you can still take the second street on the right. (Just before the turning you'll see a small sign, 25 cm high, saying "Le Verdier"). Drive down this road until you pass an intersection after which you'll see the start of Le Chant du Verdier estate. Continue driving until you come to the third iron gateway at the car park.
Driving from the south (Toulouse)
- From Toulouse follow the signs for Bordeaux
- Take the A20 to Paris
- Exit at junction 58 Cahors
- At the bottom of the junction, after the péage, follow Lalbenque
- In Lalbenque take Limogne, the R. (D19) (long road)
- Drive through Limogne and carry on towards Cajarc (D19)
- You'll come to a sharp bend - keep left, direction Cajarc (D19)
- In Cajarc turn left at the T junction and drive through the village
- Follow this road until you leave the village, then take Figeac (D19)
- You now drive into the mountains (Le Causse)
- Passing the "Déchetterie" (household tip) on your right take the first turning to the left. You will see a small sign, "Le Verdier" sticking up about 25 cm at the side of the road.
- Continue driving until you reach Le Verdier.
- Drive on until you reach an iron gateway on the right at the car park.
